What should I wear to my Physiotherapy appointment?

What should I wear to my Physiotherapy appointment?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and, where possible, allows your physiotherapist to access the area being assessed.

For example, shorts or loose-fitting pants may be helpful when assessing the hip, knee or lower leg.

If you are unsure what to wear, comfortable everyday clothing is fine.

Can my Physiotherapist recommend a DEXA scan?

Yes. Where appropriate, your physiotherapist may recommend a DEXA Body Composition or Bone Density scan to provide additional information about your muscle mass, body composition or bone health.

DEXA scanning is available onsite at WLC Medical and does not require a GP referral. Your physiotherapist can discuss whether a DEXA scan may be useful as part of your assessment, rehabilitation or ongoing health goals.
