Can I claim a private health insurance rebate?

WLC Medical is a private billing clinic and appointments are not routinely bulk billed.

If you are attending under an eligible Medicare-funded care plan or referral, you may be able to claim a Medicare rebate for your consultation. A gap fee may apply depending on the service and appointment type.

Payment is required on the day of your appointment.

As rebates and eligibility can vary, we recommend checking with your GP, private health insurer or our reception team if you are unsure what applies to your appointment.

As WLC Medical is a private clinic, your appointment will not be bulk billed.

Medicare rebates may be available for some Physiotherapy, Dietetics and Psychology appointments when you have an eligible referral or care plan from your GP.

Having a GP referral or GP Chronic Condition Management Plan does not mean your appointment will be bulk billed, and a gap fee will apply.

No. You do not need a GP referral to book an appointment with a Physiotherapist, Dietitian or Psychologist at WLC Medical, or to book a DEXA scan.

We are happy to accept referrals from GPs and other healthcare providers where applicable. If you have a referral, please bring it with you to your appointment.

Some Medicare rebates require a valid GP referral or care plan, so please speak with our reception team if you are unsure whether this applies to you.
