Our Psychologists can support people experiencing a range of mental health, emotional and behavioural concerns.

Psychology may help you better understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions and behaviours, develop practical coping strategies, work towards personal goals and make meaningful changes to support your overall health and wellbeing.

No. You do not need a GP referral to book an appointment with a Psychologist at WLC Medical.

However, an eligible GP referral may allow you to claim a Medicare rebate for Psychology appointments. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, please speak with your GP or our administration team.

Your first Psychology appointment gives your Psychologist time to understand what has brought you to therapy, discuss your background, current concerns and goals, and begin developing an individualised therapy plan with you.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss what you would like to work towards. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable discussing.
