Physiotherapy

At WLC Medical, our aim is to help you move better, recover from injury, reduce pain, and build the confidence to manage your health independently. Our 60-minute initial Physiotherapy consultations allow us to take a whole-person approach, ensuring we understand your health, lifestyle, and goals before creating a personalised treatment plan. Using a combination of manual therapy, dry needling, exercise rehabilitation, Clinical Pilates, and education, we work with you to achieve lasting results and support your long-term health.

Our Physiotherapists

Our Physiotherapists are also able to provide DEXA imaging in clinic to assess your Total Body Composition and Bone Mineral Density, with no GP referral required and results emailed directly to you.

DEXA Scan

A DEXA scan is a quick, safe and non-invasive imaging test that uses a very low dose of X-ray radiation to provide detailed information about either your bone density or your total body composition.

What is the difference between a Bone Density Scan and a Total Body Composition Scan?

  • A Bone Densitometry (Bone Density) Scan – Provides an accurate assessment of your bone strength, helping to identify reduced bone density, assess fracture risk, and monitor your bone health over time.
  • A Total Body Composition Scan – Provides a comprehensive assessment of your body composition, including muscle mass, body fat, visceral fat, bone mass and fat distribution. Ideal for establishing a baseline, tracking progress and supporting informed health, fitness and weight management decisions.

Our DEXA Scanner

You do not need a GP referral to book a DEXA scan at WLC Medical. However, we are happy to accept referrals from GPs, whether they are addressed to WLC Medical or another provider. If you have a referral, simply bring it with you to your appointment. With your consent, we can provide a copy of your results directly to your treating GP or healthcare provider.

Dietetics

Our Dietitians take a personalised approach to health optimisation, helping you understand how nutrition, lifestyle, and your body’s physiology work together. By interpreting blood tests, symptoms, and health history, we identify the factors influencing your health and develop practical, evidence-based strategies tailored to your needs. Focusing on sustainable changes to nutrition, movement, sleep, and daily habits, we support long-term health alongside your broader medical care.

Our Dietitians

Our Dietitians are also able to provide DEXA imaging in clinic to assess your Total Body Composition and Bone Mineral Density, with no GP referral required and results emailed directly to you.

Metabolism Testing

At WLC Medical, we offer advanced, non-invasive metabolism testing as part of your dietitian appointment. This test provides real-time insights into how your body uses energy, helping your dietitian develop more personalised and effective nutrition and lifestyle strategies.

Your metabolism plays an important role in regulating energy levels, weight management, blood sugar control and how your body stores and uses fat.

Metabolism testing may be particularly helpful if you have experienced:

  • Difficulty losing or maintaining weight
  • Low energy or ongoing fatigue
  • Insulin resistance, PCOS, or fatty liver
  • Feeling that your body isn’t responding to “doing the right things”
